Hello Georgia

Georgia is a transcontinental country in Eastern Europe and West Asia.
Techinically speaking, it is not Europe and it is not Asia-it is a EuroAsia kind of country.
I took a highly indirect flight from Chicago to Tbilisi
October 10, 2023. I had a very long layover in Abu Dhabi airport and my flight arrived at 3am.
The host of my paid accomodation said it was fine to arrive anytime and to not worry because they are aware of the international flights arriving at off hours.
It turns out many flights are arriving at 2 or 3am.
When I landed I ended up waiting a bit for it to be morning and got a Bolt at 5am and that went straight to my accomodation, which was intentionally outside the center-away from tourists and just a beautiful view with a immaculately clean room, a wine cellar, a great family, and nice food.
I spent time looking for accomodation where I could really just relax the first few days and get to know the family.
Mission accomplished.
The transport part was kind of an issue because the Bolt(taxi) driver could not find the address. It was all the way up a hill and the streets were not even labeled let alone the buildings. We drove around in circles and I(not we) finally found it.  He was very annoyed that he had to take extra time to find the address and he was smoking the whole way there (found out it is hard to find a driver that isn't smoking).
Another example to contribute to the 100 reasons I do not like taxis.

When I finally made it outside, I saw my host on the roof waiving down at me -what relief as I just wanted to be sleeping. He gave me a warm and quiet welcome to my room and said he had some food for me upstairs. He had Khinkali sitting out and a poured me a glass of their homemade wine (from their winery downstairs).
A glass of wine was not really on my morning radar, but I could not decline his kindness as a host. He was quietly asking me about my flight, the city I'm from, and telling me India is a big superpower. I told him that India is the most amazing country and he must visit one day. He said that his brother will take him one day for his work he hopes. He had a glass of wine with me and we were just laughing as he was making some silly jokes.
As the sun was rising, I was ready to go to sleep and the following day I met his wife and son. His son gave me a tour of the wine cellar downstairs and I also met some chickens-not a farm, but they did have wine and chickens:)

The Price is Right

It is very rare to travel to a place where you do not see the inflated tourist prices whether it is a meal or a taxi or exchanging money. T...
